REGISTRATION LINK

ERAA In House Softball is part of the Southeast Metro Softball League (SEML), in coordination with teams from Woodbury, Cottage Grove, and Oakdale

Pitchball 1 division for Kindergarteners who have already played a year of t-ball and first graders. This division is one step up from t-ball and will use the manual pitching sling and play one game per week.

Pitchball 2 division will be for 2nd and 3rd grade players, who will continue to use the manual pitching sling but play two games per week. This aligns with the 8U age level and pitching method used in travel leagues.

Players will start with kid pitch in 4th and 5th grade in the PeeWees division. This aligns with the 10U age level and when players start pitching in travel leagues.

Rookies, Minors, Majors are for girls aged 6th grade+.  These teams will be formed based on participation within the greater SEML league.

Registration available for the following levels based on current grade:

Tee-Ball (Pre-K and K) For all Pre-K players and Kindergarten players new to softball. Practices one day a week, Games Thursdays. Games end with a tournament end of June. Players hit off a tee and may elect to have coach pitch later in the season.

Pitchball 1 (grades K & 1) For Kindergarteners with a year of t-ball experience and first graders. Games Thursdays, Practices one day a week. Players hit off a manual pitching sling.

Pitchball 2 (grades 2 & 3) Practices one day a week, Games Mondays and Wednesdays. Players hit off a manual pitching sling.

Pee Wee (grades 4 & 5) Games Tuesdays and Thursdays, Practices one day a week. Kid pitch. Umpires provided.

*Rookies (grades 6 & 7) Games Mondays and Wednesdays, Practices one day a week. Kid pitch. Umpires provided.

*Minors (grades 8 & 9) Games Tuesdays and Thursdays, Practices one day a week. Kid pitch. Umpires provided.

*Majors (grades 10-12) Games Mondays and Wednesdays, Practices one day a week. Kid pitch. Umpires provided.

*SEML has had a decline in participation numbers for Rookies, Minors, and Majors. We will monitor registrations. If we are unable to form a league due to low numbers of teams, we may offer an option to combine players from our Cottage Grove, East Ridge, St. Paul Park, and Woodbury associations to form a hybrid C-level travel team that would play in the Tri-County league. Our goal is to find a way for these girls to be able to play softball.

Equipment Needs

Player registration includes a jersey.

Each player needs:

  • Batting helmet with face guard.  Chin strap is optional.  While we do not mandate color, we recommend Black or White.
  • Fielder's mask
    • ERAA requires fielder's masks at all positions. They are adjustable and can be worn for many years to protect your player's face.  We suggest Black or White here too.
  • Glove
  • Bat
    • ERAA has a limited number of bats available. We recommend each player having their own bat to limit sharing equipment.
  • Cleats
    • Optional, especially for tee-ball and pitchball. Highly recommended for peewee and up.
    • CANNOT be metal cleats
  • Softball Pants
    • Optional. Highly recommended for peewee and up.
