UPDATE - AUGUST 5:  Many of you might be aware of the recent City of Woodbury City Council Directive requiring the offering of only ONE Recreational Soccer program on city fields beginning in 2012. This directive essentially results in the necessity to merge the ERSC Rec program with the Woodbury Soccer Club (WSC) Rec program. While the Council Directive does not go into effect until 2012, for the benefit of the community ERSC and WSC have decided to combine our two programs beginning with this upcoming Fall 2011 season.

This is a positive action that we feel that our ERSC Rec families will appreciate. The WSC Rec program is a well-organized program with many, many teams offering kids a great soccer experience. Due to their size, the teams are formed by gender, not a mixed gender program as ERSC has done in the past. In addition, WSC will provide a full uniform for each child -- shirt, shorts, and socks. Note that their Rec program does not follow the traditional color of "royal", but instead the myriad of teams have a variety of colors. Teams will meet once a week for practice beginning August 22. Starting September 10, teams will meet a second time for game day on Saturdays. In addition, they will host a Fall Jamboree September 24 and / or 25.

If you are interested in Fall Rec soccer, but have not yet signed up, please note that you may get more information through WSC (web link below), and you may have the opportunity to do a late sign up.

If you are in the category of having already registered your child for Rec Soccer through ERSC,  now you're wondering "what does this mean for me, now that I have my child signed up at ERSC?" HAVE NO FEAR:  We are working with WSC to facilitate the transfer of our enrolled kids to their program. We will provide them the registration information this weekend as they will begin forming teams late Sunday night / early Monday. We will take care of transferring your payment to WSC. Your child will be placed on a team and will be notified by early next week. You will most-likely be asked to sign a waiver for WSC and we are hoping that WSC can provide that document electronically. We are hoping to have this feel like a seamless experience for you.

To make this transfer occur efficiently, we will make the assumption that each of you is ok with the transfer of your child from ERSC program to WSC program.
