Good fit for experienced players with advanced skills.
Team(s) will be determined based on skill evaluation. Girls with prior JO volleyball experience would be a good fit for this option.
Skills needed for 5th/6th grade Competitive level:
In-game pass proficiency to target (the setter), ability to execute proper setting technique, offensive attack ability (either with or without jumping). All players should be able to reliably serve overhand from behind baseline. Players should be familiar with in-system positional play for front row.

Competitive team players will be determined by tryouts to balance team member skills (passing, setting, hitting).
Check out the ERAAVB FAQs for more info on what skills are covered at the player eval.
*If your player doesn't make the evaluation cut, you will still be offered the option to play in the 5th/6th grade Recreational program - so there is no elimination from the overall ERAA volleyball program in total.

6:30pm – 8:30pm

**players can arrive as early as 6pm for check-in
**players will be allowed in the gym for warm-ups at 6:15pm

*You must register for this "5/6th Competitive league" in advance in order to tryout.

**depends on ability to staff coaching roles.
This was a successful new offering in Fall 2022, tested as a skill building continuation for girls who have played in-house VB for multiple years, and/or JO VB and seek a more competitive level of play.

*Head Coaches get their child's fee waived in full. ONE Asst coach per team gets their child's fee at 50% off.
